(NOTICE: THERE ARE MANY SPOILER SCREENS IN THIS ARTICLE. DO NOT LOOK AT ANY SPOILER SCREEN UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO DO SO.)

Here is an online, solo-compatible play-through where YOU are the Psychic player (and I, the Ghost),
which weakly recreates the wonderful game:

We'll be playing an Easy game of 4 Psychics, 5 Psychic cards, and 3 Ravens.

(If you have one or more friends wanting to assist you, that works too! Play together as a team!)

SETUP
You will need a pencil and paper (vertically numbered 1-9) to play this online game.

Below you can presently see 5 Character/Culprit Psychic cards. Then, a bit further on, 5 Location Psychic cards. And then, a bit further on 5 Object Psychic cards.

Now study all 15 of those cards closely! Do NOT open any Spoilers yet!

BACKGROUND

On Dec. 13, 1894, Count Warwick threw a party at his manor for around 100 guests. At 1:30AM, one of the man-servants was found lying dead in unclear circumstances. Police were called in who then investigated, but no crime could be clearly established.

Years later the Warwick family left the manor, which was sold to Clan MacDowell. Conrad MacDowell, a Scottish psychic, eventually inherited the manor and moved in. He immediately began receiving supernatural messages suggesting the servant's spirit was not at rest, and his death was a murder. Conrad quickly assembled a group of psychics to contact the spirit and decipher its exact message.

YOU are one of those psychics. YOU must correctly identify where the ghostly clues are leading. From the Psychics' compiled information, YOU and the other psychics must correctly determine the culprit, location, and object composing this unsolved crime.

THE END OF BASIC GAMEPLAY

Here are the Culprit, Location, and Object Cards the Ghost was trying to convey specifically to you (your "answer"). Please click the Spoiler below.

Spoiler (click to reveal)
These are the Culprit, Location, and Object cards the Ghost was trying to guide you to.

Leave this Spoiler open as you score your efforts below.

Score your efforts as follows, comparing at what turn you correctly matched your Vision interpretation (guess) with the given Ghostly answer.

First consider your Culprit investigation:

If you got the Culprit correct on your first guess: 1 point
If you got the Culprit correct on your second guess: 2 points
If you got the Culprit correct on your third guess: 3 points
If you never guessed it correctly, flip a coin. Heads = 4 pts.; Tails = 5 pts.

Now for the Location investigation:

If you got the Location correct on your first guess: 1 point
If you got the Location correct on your second guess: 2 points
If you got the Location correct on your third guess: 3 points
If you never guessed it correctly, flip a coin. Heads = 4 pts.; Tails = 5 pts.

Now for the Object investigation:

If you got the Object correct on your first guess: 1 point
If you got the Object correct on your second guess: 2 points
If you got the Object correct on your third guess: 3 points
If you never guessed it correctly, flip a coin. Heads = 4 pts.; Tails = 5 pts.

Now add your Culprit, Location, and Object points together (total them).

If this total is 8 or more points, then the Psychics were unable to solve the Ghost's mystery before its power and presence fade from Warwick Manor, consigned to limbo and doomed to gather strength and reappear next year at this same time for another attempt. This team effort is a loss.

If, however, you score 7 or fewer points, advance to THE GAME FINALE.

THE GAME FINALE

Remember that there are 4 Psychics (including you) vying in this game. The Ghost has indicated to each Psychic a character, location, and object that was present at Warwick Manor the night of the crime.

The Culprit, Location, and Object of each of the 4 Psychics will now be laid out as sets (white string divides the cards into 4 sets).

The Ghost will then lay out three Vision cards at random -- one card indicates the Culprit, one card indicates the Location, and one card indicates the Object, all belonging to a single set.

Those three final Vision cards show the true object, location, and killer at Warwick Manor that night.

YOU must determine which set is the correct set!

Assume that the other Psychics will be swayed by your confidence in your selection of this last set, and will vote with you. Your guess here then determines whether the game is won or lost! Remember, you will be using three Vision cards simultaneously for your clues, without knowing which card indicates Culprit, Location, or Object, and you will vote for a single set of cards now (1 of 4 sets), not just one Culprit, another Location, and another Object.

Here is your final Spoiler. Give it your best shot, and good luck!
Spoiler (click to reveal)
Here are the four sets of Culprit, Location, and Object as revealed to the four Psychis by the Ghosts (click to enlarge).

Here now are the 3 Vision cards, in RANDOM order, that the Ghost presents you representing the Culprit, Location, and Object at the crime scene.

Remember, the first card does not necessarily indicate Culprit, the second does not necessarily indicate Location, and so on.

But at least you get to vote for a SINGLE SET among the 4, and not an individual Culprit, Location, and Object among 16.

If you are correct, the Ghost's spirit is now laid to rest and the haunting of Warwick Manor ceases!

If you are incorrect, then the Ghost and its power fade from the manor, resting and gathering strength for another visitation around this same time next year!

My final guess:

Spoiler (click to reveal)
The lady/house/hammer bottom left.

Clues:

Spoiler (click to reveal)
The tools (saw, scythe) point to the hammer (most obvious).
The open door matched the open door of the house (in isolation, this could be bottom right as well).
The figurines in the box match the man/woman in the foto's on the character card.

Spoiler (click to reveal)
knitter lady, shack, hammer

Tools indicate hammer.
Is that a broken sign? Whatever it is, it's broken and fallen into the water, evoking the same feeling as the ramshackle shack in the woods.
The music box among the dandelions would only belong to someone as high-class as the knitter lady.
