Full Frontal Board Games

Welcome to my collection of comics! I have been drawing a weekly comic for a while now and this is a my place to share what I have been creating. Please look around and take the time to have a laugh. Or a chuckle. I would even settle for just a little snort of air through your nose...

And so it begins...

And so it continues...

Dominion was my gateway game and to this day I eagerly await each new expansion.

[Me] You know that movie came out in the 80's, right?

Actually I still need to get my hands on some of those metal coins for Scythe...

I'm 80% sure that's how the quote goes.

[Me]: Also where did you get that top hat piece? I don't own monopoly...

Awesome!

I drew an equally bad looking comic for a car website/forum I used to run. I appreciate people doing what they like or want to do despite a lack of artistic talent. Very cool!

I like to pretend that Forbidden Desert takes place immediately after Forbidden Island. Everyone was so relieved to escape the island and then incredibly mad at the pilot for crashing. So mad in fact that blue has to be the Water Carrier in the desert. But what about black you ask? Well black was already used to carrying all the scuba gear and that's why they can carry another person through the desert.

[Me]: Now we have to play this!

The "she" in this comic is based off my wife, with whom I play the most games. She has made appearances in earlier comics during the story boarding phase, but she never fit in the final frame. Yep! These poorly drawn comics are story boarded first! I am a professional!

Re: Full Frontal Board Games
This is great stuff! I'd love to see a comic that will be like my friends who all thought that Forbidden Stars was a sequel to Forbidden Island and Forbidden Desert. The fact that it still sits unlearned on my shelf of shame, probably hasn't helped to change their misconceptions. I'm terrible at learning rules by myself, especially for big games like that.

I actually debated using Forbidden Stars as part of the comic, but decided to cap it at 6 frames for the joke. Maybe in a future one!

Who (or what) you save in Flash Point is randomly determined. Sometimes it seems like the fire fighters care a little more about cute animals than they do about people.

Also if you are going to Geekway to the West in St. Louis this May, GM me and maybe we can set up a game! If something funny happens you might make it into a comic!

[Me]: I started a board game club. So when do I start?

I saw a post about someone putting their Dungeon Master experience on a resume. It got me thinking about all of my board game history and it was pretty easy to write up my own resume!

Also if you are going to Geekway to the West in St. Louis this May, GM me and maybe we can set up a game! If something funny happens you might make it into a comic!

It's a 6 continent model that is taught mostly in France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Romania, and Greece. My comics are thoroughly researched!

Then again, any game that makes you yell "I want your babies!" has to be somewhat romantic...

Think you could draw comics better than me? Prove it. I created a contest to have people recreate my comics in different art styles! Check out this thread to learn how to enter and win 50 GG!

This comic is a bit of a lie... I have only managed to stack 4 dice high.

"Settlers of Atlantic City" reminded me of the time we tried to teach out least-gamer, gaming friend to play Scythe. She was hording her food resources and when we suggested she ought to be using it for recruitment, she said defensively: "I need that to feed my people"!

(Great cartoons, BTW)

I know. I know. Why do I pick on the Pilot Water Carrier so much? I think its because I always play blue in games. I developed a personal connection with the Water Carrier; I created the backstory! Also I noticed that I missed with the apostrophe after I uploaded the image... I need more quality control on these poorly drawn comics...
