Chokepoint is a villain expansion for Sentinels. She’s a ferro-kineticist, basically someone who can control metal with her mind, and take over technology, and do all sorts of fun things with it. To top that off, like 75% of her body is metal, so she can also just heal at will. She was caught breaking into Fort Adamant to steal secret technology for herself, and is the nemesis of Unity, Absolute Zero, and Bunker, the 3 tech heroes who really should stay absolutely away from her!

As you can see, she has 70 HP and starts Ferro-Kineticist side up. As a Ferro-Kineticist, she flips to her other side if there are (H) or more facedown cards in the villain play area. Her deck and abilities revolve around getting hero cards (and other cards) facedown in front of her, and whenever she destroys a non-character card, it is placed facedown in front of her. On top of this, she deals H-1 damage each round. When she flips to her Armored Animus side, she is an annoying beast. To flip her back, you have to destroy all of the facedown cards in front of her, and she deals +1/takes 1 less damage from any target from a deck that she has a facedown card in front of her from, and, at the end of her turn, she destroys a random facedown card and deals H+1 damage to the highest HP hero target.

So yes, she likes to steal your cards and likes to deal extra/take less damage from targets that she has stolen cards from. This is a great way to show her stealing your tech and using it against you, while you are less effective because of the lack of tech and because it’s harder for you to damage your own stuff. On top of that, her deck consists of 16 one-shots and 9 ongoing cards, all of which are annoying in different ways! Some of the ongoing cards turn Equipment cards into targets with 5 HP and damage them, letting Chokepoint destroy them and place them next to her, a thematic way to steal your tech. Others destroy equipment every turn, or reduce damage dealt to her and keep her safe from alpha strikes. The one-shots are a mixed bag of healing/damage dealing and even bigger healing if she kills something, putting cards facedown in front of her, or playing additional cards from her deck. She also can clear all environment cards from the board and put some of them facedown in front of her. All in all, she works with healing, reducing damage, stealing cards, and flipping to deal tons of damage. It’s thematic, it’s annoying, but it’s also fun. She’s not super hard to beat, but she can be if you bring an all-tech team. Her biggest strength is also her biggest weakness- if you bring a team with little or no Equipment, she is basically powerless to stop you because most of her cards don’t actually do anything if you don’t have any Equipment out. A team of Legacy, the Sentinels, and Captain Cosmic (for instance) can make short work of her, but a team of Unity, Absolute Zero, Bunker, Ardent Adept, and Omnitron-X would struggle severely. You can make her as hard or as easy as you’d like, and she’s a fun villain to fight. You won’t regret getting her!
