Is it true that on the first turn alliance turn a member who allocated their pyramids to be level 2 and 1 at the start of the game can use their action to raise their level 1 pyramid to level 2, and then play the DI card that allows them to buy a tile as though they controlled the pyramids of another alliance member to purchase the level 2 purple Seth tile that allows them to steal a DI card from an opponent every night?

Hello

That's not possible.

If an alliance member wants to buy a level 2 purple tile, he will need to have 3 pyramids at level 2 or higher (rules, page 8).

In your case he will have two level 2 pyramides and one level 1 -> so he can only purchase a level 1 purple tile.

I think the original question assumed that the other alliance player had a 2 and a 1.

In that case it would work as long as the other alliance players level 2 wasn't the same color as either of his own level 2s.

oh blush

In fact, the alliance member who wants to buy a level 2 purple tile must have his own 3 pyramids at level 2 (or higher).
His own 3 pyramids = the pyramids in his city.
