Speaking of space....did you see this series, paying homage to planets? Each deck was KS'd over the course of a couple years. They didn't skip Pluto, either

Check their other decks as well ... good stuff.

I ran across this fun one recently, currently OoP, tho:

Thanks, Per and JPotter!

I have since been searching for some more decks, and the ones below caught my eye. I'd love to see what decks of playing cards other folks like.

Modern Aircraft Playing Cards

I love warplanes and these have a different image on each card. They have one of my fave's, the Chengdu J-10. heartheartheart

They also do warships and apparently there will be two more decks in the series. I am hoping/guessing tanks will be one of them.

Piquet Cards British c.1780 Fournier Classic Reproduction

I have no idea how to play this game but I love having some ye olde cards and I want to learn how to play it. I wish there was a full standard deck of these!

Italia Siglo 1850 Fournier Classic Reproduction

A full deck, apart from there are no jokers. I love the shapes of the suit symbols!

Templar Playing Cards

I find the colour scheme very pleasing.

National Geographic Brilliant Birds

I like the layout of a series of decks from National Geographic. They all look great to me, with a photographer's eye. The birds grabbed me the most. The peacock (not shown above, alas) is magnificent!

Cartoon Food Playing Cards

I've not seen see-through cards before and I love the blue and turquoise colours. The cartoon food art is fun and these look great for kids. I got my son a pack and he loves them, we played Spades with them. They are a bit flimsy but seem fine in sleeves.
