I am completely confused as to where to get latest solo bots for Andean Abyss and A Distant Plain. I do of course own the games but missed updates from GMT (either in C3I or posted in here). Would a good soul point me to latest resources? Are there any available for free or I need to hunt down dated C3I issue?

I don't know about AA but you can find the new ADP bots in the Update Kit.

Get the c3i bots for ADP, they are much clearer to play with (and slightly smarter).

Here's the link to the issue:

The updated rules for using the bots with the magazine player aid can be found in the bgg download section for ADP.

I found the c3i versions enhanced my experience enough to be worth the expensive magazine cost (I found non-player coalition particularly confusing even with the upgraded version from GMT), the c3i clarified the non-player coalition actions quite a bit.
