My game group is mostly 3 player. Andean Abyss shines as the 3rd player who controls AUC and Guerillas work great. They don't feel OP, and playing against them doesn't feel like a 2 on 1. It just feels natural and works fantastically.

Do any other COINs work great at 3p?

There are two upcoming COIN games designed specifically for 3 players. All Bridges Burning and People Power.

https://www.gmtgames.com/p-675-all-bridges-burning-red-revol...

https://www.gmtgames.com/p-689-people-power-insurgency-in-th...

It will be a while though. All Bridges Burning is 5-9 months and People Power is probably over a year away.

Thank you. Fully aware and excited for those, this is more specified towards which games can pull of 3 player from a 4 player as well as Andean Abyss. Eg with one player controlling two factions and sharing victory conditions

Does Arverni and Belgae in FS feel OP or work well, or is American + French good vs British French in LoD, etc etc.

I imagine Pendragon would be very good with 3 players. One player could either do Dux/Civitates or both barbarians. Just play to have the one person playing two to meet both win conditions of the factions they're playing.

Just a warning that Pendragon is the most complex of the series.

I'm only really familiar with Falling Sky, but I'd expect that Arverni + Belgae controlled by a single player would work pretty well. They have similar goals and don't often meet under normal conditions.
