Greetings,

I'm a designer, and I enter just about every contest with something.
I'm looking for a good free option (preferably trustworthy for both of us) for sharing PDF files.

I'd prefer it to also be as user friendly as possible. Formerly I used DeviantArt, but their support for PDF's has gotten worse in recent weeks.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Depends on use. If you just need to share them, WeTransfer is enough.
If instead you have a lot of pdfs and you want a backup with Drive you can manage everything even better.
I don't know if it also works with pdfs, but Trello could be an alternative.

Speaking of this... I've been looking for an online collaborative tool - in which people view and comment on the shared content, pointing to specific lines etc - like Google Documents, but for PDF files.

Could you recommend something like this?

have you tried using google docs for this recently? I believe this does work to an extent. If you started it in google doc your fine going to a pdf and back otherwise you might have font and format issues.
