Hi,

I have both of these games. I bought Cuba Libre as that was described as the best to learn solo. Then Gandhi came out and the theme appealed to me more. Is there really that big a difference in the learning level of these games? I want to start with Gandhi but donĀ“t want it to break me.

The general rule of thumb when it comes to COIN games seems to be - choose the game whose history interests you the most. You're more likely to stick with the game if/when the rule learning process has a frustrating moment or two (or three).

For example: Despite often being described as objectively the best to learn first, I own neither Cuba Libre nor Andean Abyss. I leapt right into Liberty or Death, then awhile later A Distant Plain and now am picking up Falling Sky.
