I am making my own copy from Karim's gorgeous redesign.

The pdfs he made have 'dead space' between each row and column of chits. Is there an equivalent version which omits this dead space and reduces the number of cuts needed?

The space is there to ensure that you don't have white boarders or part of an adjacent piece on your token if do not make a perfect cut for fail to lineup each side 100% correctly.

Believe me, you will appreciate the margin of error that dead space provides you when you start building this game, far more than you will despise the extra cuts.

Maybe will do this build in the near future, looks gorgeous. Is it just me or the optional combat table aids are not included?

Please Carthaginian, for the love of God, give Andrew Tullsen permission to sell copies of your resdesign. Some of us (me included) just don't have the means necessary to make this ourselves!

I made two copies of this simultaneously two years ago on chip board. I love how they came out, but man what an undertaking.

Gorgeous artwork.

The Wayback Machine grabbed it. Here's the link below. Paste the whole string into your browser.

Hi
i bringing this thread back to life little bit

I would like to translate this game to my native language, so i could play with anyone of my friends. I started translating rules and this redesign is in my plans to translate too. So, i am asking for permission to use it. Well, pdf files are locked, which i really understand. For my purposes it is not problem, but it will be shame and wasted time, if all work will end printed only on my shelf. Board game community in my country will sure appreciated translated game.
I hope, Karim still looking time to time this thread. Thanks

Unfortunately, this version is not the most current one. It has an error on Tile 20 that was discussed here:

I think this one is correct:

I put it in a tiny.cc shortened URL because BGG has had url parsing issues for years now...

One thing that bugs me about any custom builds I've seen is that the chits (sound, warning, etc.) are almost impossible to make in such as way that you cannot tell them apart from the back. Karim's design has octagonal chits, which are too difficult to cut all the same and to keep the icons perfectly centered. Putting chit stickers on one side of colored wooden discs isn't really enough, because even the best wooden bits have uneven paint and different wood grain. The only solution I could ever come up with is to put markers down for the chit types, but then roll on a table at the point where they would normally be flipped over.

Any other thoughts?

Would using some type of punch on them rather than cutting them out work to make them more uniform. Might be hard to find a punch exactly the size and shape that you are looking for.

Was this confirmed to be the most current link for Karim's redesign?

Yes. Yet another redesign that is this time meant for PnP. I have redesigned a few components myself and the difference is huge. Hopefully one day I'll finish my graphic design of Super Realm.

I use blanc counters (17,5 mm square from spielmaterial.de) for this kind of problem. Paste the print on one side.

zombie The zombie apocalypse is here!

You know a game is old, when the modern redesign itself hits vintage territory.
