UG-14 Math Trade - just 2 more folks
Thought I'd give an update... just waiting for want lists from:

Missing 12 lists from 2 users
cvonh - Constantine von Hoffman
wjohnston - Bill Johnston

If anyone knows how to give them a gentle reminder outside of BGG, please do so.

All wants in, deadlines past, 129 trades found
Unusual for a math trade, all wants were submitted before the deadline (it looks like almost by about an hour before). I waited until the deadline however to concatenate all the wants together as folks were still allowed to re-submit up until the deadline if they so desired.

129 Trades Found!!!!

This is down 16 trades from the record in the UG-13 math trade but still pretty good.

The compiled wants are at:

http://activityclub.org/bgg/27558-officialwants.txt
(this is the input file to TradeMaximizer)

The raw results (shows both trade chains and by user raw summary) are at:

http://activityclub.org/bgg/27558-results-official.txt

The results summary (easier to read and with hyperlinks into BGG's trading system) can be found at:

http://activityclub.org/bgg/27558-results-summary.html

The big traders are myself and wjohnston with 8 trades each.

There shouldn't have been any cut and paste errors as everyone did use the OLWLG for both generating and submitting, though double check. I'd hold off on making the trade proposals, as well as making side trades until Wednesday 3pm ET just in case.

I'd also recommend no one make any deliveries (including geek gold) until it's clear that UG-14 won't be postponed/canceled due to weather, etc.

Thanks everyone for participating!!!!! We'll have to try for a new record (for trades found) for UG-15

Jeff

Note: neither results (raw or summary) include sweeteners (if any) for each item so make sure to look at the geeklist (the OLWLG can also be used here to look). Don't forget those when making trade proposals or when delivering at UG-14

Based on the raw number of want lists it appeared on... but the most wanted based on the number of folks wanting it is ...

MOST WANTED
21/136/4 - Container (156) [fsnam]
18/144/6 - Key Harvest (150) [Rappak]
18/101/1 - Mr. Jack (44) [rocketkiwi]
17/116/5 - Race for the Galaxy (26) [JeffyJeff]
.....

What I was really surprised by, at least as far as my offerings, is that not one person wanted the following two:

Blood Feud In New York (18) [JeffyJeff]
Heimlich & Co. (66) [JeffyJeff]

I can see how some of my other unwanted items weren't wanted but those two surprised me.

Others that surprise me, but I'd have to go back and check if maybe it was the condition of the item that may have affected it or not, are:

Age of Mythology: The Boardgame (249) [rkircher]
Axis & Allies: Europe (238) [rkircher]
Mall World (346) [asmiles]
Richelieu (254) [Jeffrey Henning]
Settlers of Catan, The - Travel Edition (154) [Rappak]

Oh, crap. I forgot to add that to my want list.

If you see anything that I have on my trade list that interests you let me know. (Druidenwalzer and Maharaja: Palace Building in India are obviously off the list... leaving them there until I send out / accept trade requests).

Well, I'm not terribly pleased but oh well. If anyone wants any thing that I had up for the math trade that didn't get traded, send me a pm for an offer.

Is there any interest in a 2nd chance math trade...or should we just propose our own trades privately?

I still have a number of items that were on want lists that didn't trade - in particular, some of the items included:

El Grande (German version) but with the English cards that were purchased separately

Lost Cities (sealed)

Amazing Labyrinth w/ Trapture (sweetener)

Bang! w/ Boomtown (sealed sweetener)

Five Crowns w/ Triology and Xactica (sweetners)

David & Goliath w/ Attacke, Conspiracy & Fishing for Terrorists (sweetners)

Scotland Yard (German) w/ English print-out rules and Traverse (sweetener)

M (Sealed and German w/ English print-out rules) with Turn and Turnabout (sweeteners)

Geekmail me with interest - will entertain all reasonable offers especially to take advantage of the free shipping. meeple

Ok, it's 3pm ET Wednesday and no one has notified me or posted here of an error so let's declare the results final! It's ok to make the trade proposals!

Everyone make sure that the games you are trading away, including any sweeteners on those, are marked "for trade" in your profile so the trade proposals can go through using the links from http://activityclub.org/bgg/27558-results-summary.html

Thanks again everyone for participating! Without you we wouldn't have had a math trade!

Also I think maybe the reason why the overall number of trades was down may be due to duplicate protection. So even though fewer overall trades, at least no one should be receiving duplicates that didn't want duplicates.

And I'm looking for:

I'm thinking it would be cool if we could do some sort of mass auction or something. I'd like to get rid of some games without having to pay for shipping but without having to find a trade-- that's what money was invented for, isn't it?

Anyone who has quality games that they want to find a new home for, can donate them to the UG Charity Auction. All the money raised from the auction, goes to the Jimmy Fund.

Apologies if this has already been asked and answered (I haven't seen any discussion of it but I could have glossed over it): will we have tables set up again with the participants' names where we can drop off the games?

I was assuming we would, but that could be a bad assumption. I think we'll be in the same room at the hotel so the same setup?

I thought the Math Trade event worked out well on the tables by the bank of windows at one end of the room. I will endeavor to set it up there again.
