This is vs the 1.1.1 AI. I thought it played out interestingly enough to post. Comments inline.

Mimix plays Dancer of Dusk.
Mimix announces 4 earth.
So we're starting out, I choose to go earth based on my hand.

Aqua plays Sprinkle Water of Tranquility.
Mimix moves Young Bear to discard pile.
Aqua plays Mekarthas the Shrewd.
Aqua plays Perilous Marsh.
Aqua plays Swarming Sea Serpents.
Aqua announces 7 earth.
Mimix retreats.
Aqua attracts 1 dragon.
Unable to meet power here, a forced retreat.

Mimix plays Cardus Nikkus.
Aqua moves Oosa-Aqua-Epsilon to discard pile.
Mimix announces 2 earth.
Staying in the same element to try wearing Aqua out.

Aqua plays Uurunia-Aqua-Terz.
Aqua plays Torrential Flood.
Aqua announces 4 earth.
Mimix plays Amazon Leaping Far.
Mimix plays Hypnotic Rattle.
Mimix announces 4 earth.
Aqua retreats.
Mimix attracts 1 dragon.
AI seems afraid of the Booster blocker.

Aqua declines to start fight.
Aqua moves Firewater to discard pile.
Aqua moves Irresistible Sirens to discard pile.
Mimix plays Shaman of the Here and Now.
Mimix takes Menacing Wardance into hand.
Mimix announces 2 earth.
Aqua plays Iisilia-Aqua-Terz.
Aqua plays Fire Swamp.
Aqua plays Drowning Rain Storm.
Aqua announces 4 earth.
Mimix plays Call Spirit of the Underworld.
Mimix takes Cardus Nikkus into hand.
Mimix plays Cardus Nikkus.
Perhaps a bit risky to draw such a weak power back in hand, but I'm looking to nuke potential AI leadership cards out of my opponent's hand.

From here on there is a massive fight in Earth, lots of fun:
Aqua moves Giant Octopus to discard pile.
Mimix plays Menacing Wardance.
Mimix announces 4 earth.
Aqua plays Colossal Crustacean.
Aqua plays Launch Hail of Doom.
Aqua announces 6 earth.
Mimix plays Wild Antelope.
Mimix plays Stars Shining.
Mimix announces 6 earth.
Aqua plays Briny Behemoth.
Aqua plays Sudden Waterspout.
Aqua plays Tidal Flood.
Aqua announces 6 earth.
Mimix plays Young Fox.
Mimix plays Whirling Hatchet.
Mimix announces 7 earth.
Aqua plays Kelp Leech.
Aqua plays Aquatic Armor.
Aqua announces 2 earth.
Nice timing for me. A power reset by my opponent gives me some respite to draw more cards into hand.
As a matter of course I'm hasty to drop the 2/2 Mimix Support. Overall I'm beginning to think that the 2/2 support mixed with all the means to draw it into your hand is the biggest part of Mimix's power. One trick pony? Whatever!

Mimix plays Shaman of the Afterlife.
Mimix announces 4 earth.
Aqua plays Oomola-Aqua-Delta.
Aqua plays Instant Undertow.
Aqua plays Ravenous Razorjaw.
Aqua announces 6 earth.
Mimix plays Amazon Leaping High.
Mimix plays Hypnotic Rattle.
Mimix announces 6 earth.
Aqua plays Terrible Kraken.
Aqua announces 7 earth.
Mimix plays Virgin of Pure Earth.
Mimix plays Moon Rising.
Mimix announces 10 earth.
You've got to expect the Yin Yang Mutant combo sooner or later, and here it comes:

Aqua plays Yin.
Aqua plays Yang.
Aqua plays Sas-van-Son.
Aqua announces 16 fire.
BUT, muahahahah!! I counter it back to Earth!

Mimix plays Neth-sur-Pot.
Mimix announces 7 earth.
Aqua plays Eelena-Aqua-Prima-Alpha.
Aqua announces 7 earth.
Mimix plays Call Spirit of the Battlefield.
Mimix retrieves Virgin of Pure Earth.
Mimix plays Virgin of Pure Earth.
Mimix plays Virgin of Pure Fire.
Looking for a bit of card churn here to refresh my hand. Got a good feeling about the overall match.

Mimix plays Sun Setting.
Mimix announces 10 earth.
Aqua retreats.
Mimix attracts 2 dragons.
POW!! Sure it was an expensive match, but lots of fun here.

Aqua plays Electric Eel.
Aqua announces 4 fire.
Surely I could expect Aqua would be starving for fire, and I've been saving my 1/2 retrievable support for just such an occasion. Aqua getting low on cards in hand...

Mimix plays Dancer of Dawn.
Mimix plays Pulsating Shockwave.
Mimix announces 6 fire.
Aqua retreats.
Mimix attracts 1 dragon.

Aqua plays Administer Water of Immortality.
Aqua declines to start fight.
Looks like one turn too late.

Game over
Mimix wins 4 crystals.

Overall, I'm not saying it was a perfect play by either side, but that fight in Earth was a blast with the mutant vs mutant.

My overall vibe is to try to stay in one element for the whole match against Aqua, thereby draining them out of useful cards and clogging their hand with wrong element.

On mimix side, they seem to be all about the 2 key support cards: 2/2 and 2/1 retrievable - try to recover these via special text wherever possible and don't blow them both on a single fight. Since the deck gag is "Paired characters" I have been trying to generate those. In some ways the support card advantage is counter-intuitive to the theme of the deck and may explain why others have mentioned they seem weak. It also raises the threat level of cards played against Mimix like You may not play supports, or Now I discard your support. Formerly, I wouldn't consider those formidable since I was focusing on pairs: Don't focus on generating the pairs, just enjoy them when they happen.

Am I coming round to liking the Mimix? Definetly maybe.

H'mmm, I usually don't care much for the 2/x Mimix supports; I always try my best to build up a large number of pairs, then stomp then out round after round and hope that my opponent runs out of power first. The "you cannot play support cards" is great to have also against some opponents, because it means they can't build up over time. But I don't have that great a record against some AI decks, so I should maybe try keeping the 2/x supports in play more instead.

I also think it's strange that the AI played discard cards against you. When I'm playing the Mimix or the Khind, I *LOVE* being told to discard! It lets me burn through the deck faster, looking for more pairs/gangs.

that was an amazing fight- my cousin and I have had some epic fights just with the base set, but nothing close to that.

I am playing all the possible combinations against AI, each one till I win one. So far, I have been playing 17 times Mimix against Aqua... it seems impossible to win... I must be doing something wrong!
