Are there any good board game/war game stores in the Bay Area, especially San Jose/Sunnyvale/Santa Clara/Cupertino/Mountain View?

Thanks, T.

That's the closest one.

Campbell, technically, but close enough. D&J was my store of choice back in the day (they are within walking distance of where my parents currently live) but they've been moving more and more away from gaming and towards other forms of crafts and hobbies in the past several years. Your selection will likely be much more restricted there. And I would support Legends or the like more eagerly because they have more gamer-friendly resources (like a demo game library and plenty of space to host events).

Kris

This has a VERY active ASL game group.

The other excellent store is Endgame in Oakland. The have a big (30-40 person) wargame club that is very active.

Up in Newark there is House of Games; it's a smaller shop and has a pretty good selection of boardgames and some miniature gaming items.
