This next week I am going to be taking my first international trip to see my brother get married in northern Italy. From there, my wife, brother, and I will be traveling south through Italy to finally arrive in Rome. We are going to be staying there for a few days, and I would like to bring back a game from over there.

Does anyone have any recommendations of what I should pick up? Of course, I want to find something that is difficult to find in the states.

Plus, do any Italian BGGers have recommendations on places I should go to pick something up?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

My only recommendation would be......wait for it....When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

The mandatory visit is to "Strategia & Tattica", in via Cavour.

You'll find that the euro-dollar change currently sucks for you, though...

Luca--you may want to tell him how to get there. I made 3 trips to Rome last year and never did see a gaming shop.

Tell me about it...buying a game will be a mere pittance compared to the cost of the airlines and hotels.

If nothing else, you should get a deck of Italian-suited playing cards. These would be available in tobacco shops.

How about Busen Memo, my 70 year old grandmotherin-law had her bottom pinched in Rome.

I don't want happiness by halves, nor is half of sorrow what I want. Yet there's a pillow I would share, where gently pressed against a cheek like a helpless star, a falling star, a ring glimmers on the finger of a hand.

Forget gamestores. I've been to Roma twice and still haven't seen all of it. It's the most beautiful city in the world. Enjoy your trip
