good luck buddy! I used to go to school there about two years ago. The only store in town then was a place called hastings which carried movies/cds/books they had a small assortment of board games most were awful except a few of the new AH games. But for the most part it is a gaming wasteland. When i left town in in 2006 there was a hobby store with some warhammer stuff opening soon, they might have a few games. There used to be some descent used book stores on the square downtown, and one terrifying comic book store i was never brave enough to step foot in.

Good luck and safe travels

Thanks mate!
I was afraid it would be like that. Couldn't find anything online, that's why I asked here. Oh well, will have to plan for at least an overnight stay in Chicago then......

My buddies who went to Truman always said that the two places to go in Kirksville were bars and the Wal-Mart. And you can only go to Wal-Mart so many times...

In other words, none of them mentioned the bookstores! (Although I suppose that means that they're not as picked-over.)

Now, if you were to go to Columbia MO, you'd have a great game store at your disposal.

As of Feb. 2016 The only store that carries everything you are talking about would be Rineharts at 112-114 South Franklin Street Downtown between the court house and the College. They also carry music and movies. They have been in business for over 150 years so they aren't likely to close anytime soon.

Your best bet would be a road trip to Columbia, St. Louis, or KC.
