Hi,
Our next games night is on this friday 26th June. This is our special trivia night fundraiser. Please remember that the entrance fee will be $5.00 for this night and that all money raised goes to the wheelchair fund for Chris Zantides.

I have been slaving over lots of Trivia games to come up with some devilishly crazy questions. The first half of the night will be trivia and if everyone wants to they can continue with board games if they wish. This should be a fun night for everyone and we have some prizes as well.

Casual magic will be on as usual but the entry fee on this night will be $5 as well.

Last games night as well as our Enkounter challenge we had great fun with Pitch Car. Lots of budding race drivers were trying their skills at flicking their cars (disks) around the track. Manuel was the track marshall and we had about 8 - 10 players of all ages pitting their skills against each other. We will definitely play this one again.

Plenty of other games were played on the night such as Cogno, Pandemic, Can't Stop, Pyramid, Ice Flow, Double's Wild and Reversi. Towards the end of the night we played Beware of the Dog - even though you know what's going to happen, you scream anyway. It's a great if somewhat noisy game.

So come along and have some fun and meet lots of fantastic people.

Hope to see you there

The 3rd round of the Gipf challenge was played last night with Zertz being the game of the round. This is an interesting game as you can play with any piece on the board even if you did not place it. With the board decreasing in size as the game progresses it makes for a fun and challenging time.

HOOOPS is a game that can be played with 2 - 4 players. The layout of the game is visually fantastic. The aim of the game is to get your 3 frogs from your home lily pad to your opponents home lily pads. With removable logs, special action cards plus the abiity to bump frogs all over the board it is a fun game.

For lovers of Pentago, Multiplayer Pentago is a must. With up to 4 players plus a board that is 9x9 cirles in size it is a mental battlefield. I played a few times last night and almost went bonkers looking at a myriad of colours on the table. Definitely want to try this again.

Pitch Car Stunt Version is brilliant. Played it last night with 8 players. Trying to get up and down ramps, around hair pin bends and a generally winding track all the while trying to keep your car on the track in one piece and in good position is diabolical. If you can get up the ramp first time you are doing better than me.

The final of the Gipf challenge is on 25/09/2009 with Tamsk being played. Good luck to all those who have qualified for the final.

For those in general who are looking to have a fun night out playing board games and meeting people then we will see you there on 25/09/2009 for the next games night.

Strange but True - Slugs have 4 noses!!!
