This is great news. You won't have to worry too much about competition since you will be the only shop in the city. Great location with all the universities nearby. I work at Drexel, so I will be sure to come in sooner rather than later.

There are a few other shops in the city, but not as many as I'd like. Good luck! I hope the events will be fun, as that seems the only time I actually want to buy something in person instead of just online.

A little far from me (like 45 min and 2 toll roads), but would be fun to check out if you guys have a special night planned.

Great news, I used to live there back when the complete strategist had a shop in the area. Right next to an adult store "The pleasure chest". The good old Drexel days

Unfortunately I probably won't be a good customer as I'm in south nj now and I hate parking in the city.

I'm a Euro gamer and I didn't see anything about board game events. Though the heroscape might get me in.

Too bad Miller doesn't make "RED CAP" ale anymore. It would have been an appropriate celebratory suds. Good Luck!

While awaiting the Grand Opening, a couple of miles away is ...

... The first Lansdowne Games Day of 2009 ! on Saturday January 31st

The Garden Church of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania
hosts the next Games Day on January 31st from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM,

The Garden Church is located at 82 North Lansdowne Avenue,
at the corner of Stratford Ave, in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania
(Enter through the big red door of the Epworth Building,
on Stratford Ave, to the left of the sanctuary)
For directions by car or SEPTA, see:
http://www.thegardenchurch.org/directions.html

The Lansdowne Game Days are a regular happening,
where we play - and teach - games new and old
talk, socialize, nibble, and make friends,
bring people together for friendly competition, fellowship and fun.

They're for grownups, teens, 'tweens and children of all ages !
(although we hope they're old enough to realize the playing pieces aren't edible - young children should be accompanied by an adult.)
We'll try to make everyone feel welcome !

There's no admission charge,
though contributions to help cover the church's expenses
- especially the heating bill - will be welcome.

The Garden Church, a United Methodist Community,
82 N. Lansdowne Avenue, Lansdowne, Pa. 19050,

Call or Email for more information

we'll definitely be supporting Eurogames as well as the popular card games and such. We just had our first Catan tournament and it was a lot of fun. Check us out on facebook or myspace to see our calendar and events listings!
