If you're not part of the soultion...
You're part of the precipitate!
This game is basically a dexterity/Jenga-like game. In this game each player has an equal number of tree branches and leaves at the start and the goal is to get rid of all of your pieces. The first person to do so is the winner. The
tree trunk is a wooden dowel which protrudes thru a ring in the base; this arrangement causes the dowel to be somewhat unstable and very willing to rotate around. Another good thing about this game is that you can choose how far you
want the tree trunk to protrude from the ring; the more that it protrudes, the more unstable the tree is and thus, the more difficult the game will be. Players take turns placing either branches (which have additional holes to
stick things in) or leaves into the holes in the tree. What's tricky is that none of the branches or leaves really fits exactly in the holes making them also liable to wobble and topple over. On your turn, if any pieces fall out of
the tree, you have to add them to your stash of pieces to be placed. Anyways, this is a quick game that has more twists and turns than Jenga. There is much excitement as the tree is very suseptible to wild swings once 10+ pieces are in it. The only issue of this game is that at some point somebody will place a piece that causes the whole tree to topple over which will likely cause the game to come to a quick end as the next few rounds will be quite easy to place pieces (as it is like you are starting over). Anyways, it turned out to be a fan favorite, and has received about 10 plays since the summer. It will fill in
a nice niche for a 10 minute game to play while you wait for another table to finish up something. Note - we don't play with the spielkarten as we think they make the game much less fun (And much longer!)
