Good luck with the MT. I'm taking a break from them for a while, so I can put my personal finances in order.

Good to see you back around, Boomer. Hope whatever issues you were dealing with in the past are now all sorted out.

I thought math trading was putting "personal finances in order" since you avoid purchasing new games. Shipping cost shmipping cost.

I think that it's legitimate to ask if you have the time required to pull this off.

Fair question and yes I do.

Btw: I started a request list so people can get their requests in early:

No, but thanks for the "out".

Strange that. I go to the thread in response to every message, but for some reason I didn't get the notification, hence my confusion above. Oh well. Good thing I monitor this thread fairly regularly.

have you tried unsubscribing and then resubscribing?

When you go to:

is the last post date highlighted in light yellow?

Jeff, how would you like us to handle the approval for non-BGG stuff? I've got a manga bundle I'd like to add.

I'd love to help you, Randy, and keep it local. But I've already palmed off two copies of TOI; I'm not sure I have the resources to do it a third time!

Re: Continental US Math Trade starting March 23rd
I'm intrigued by math trades, though I've never tried one. I've read up on the articles on here, yet I still feel a little bit in the dark about them. I know I'm supposed to post a game I'm ready to trade, then list games I'd accept for it.

At that point I know there's a bucket of chicken blood, a summoning circle and an opened copy of Puerto Rico involved. The computer then spits out an address where I'm to ship my game, then informs me of which prize I've won.

It sounds sexy, but I'm pretty intimidated by the process at this point.

Very nice! Maybe I'll jump in on the next one. I was getting Math Trades confused with Ultimate trades, I think. Math trades seem pretty straight forward after reading the wiki. I have a couple of titles I wouldn't mind getting rid of, so I'm looking forward to tossing my hat in the ring.

We try not to talk that much about the chicken blood aspect of it.

Actually that part started in 16th Lodz Poland when an enterprising shochet having all this blood from the kosher slaughter of animals came up with a novel idea. He'd offer a few buckets of blood in the local math trade hoping to get a good used copy of the hot new boardgame "Liar's Dreidels". And as they say, the rest is history.
