Howdy.

Spending Thanksgiving with the GF's family in Phillipsburg NJ, curious if there is any stores near there (near being fairly fluid). So Easton, Allentown, and Bethlehem PA areas.

I tried the FLGS of the World Google Map, but there is nothing listed, so it's either a gaming wasteland or stores haven't listed themselves.

Thanks!

This is further west than the areas you mentioned but I just hit Six Feet Under Games in New Holland, PA. Very impressive selection.

I have never been to this store, but some friends of mine mentioned it on the BoardgamesNJ Meetup group. It looks like the store runs a game night on Fridays and has its own Meetup group. Also, according to their Meetup website, it looks like they are having a Black Friday sale (but no game night).

Unfortunately there are not any really good game stores in the area. There are a few shops that sell some games. Hobbytown at the Lehigh Valley Mall usually has the biggest selection. There are 2 comic book stores, The Portal in Bethlehem and another in Allentown whose name escapes me at this time that both sell some as well.

I live in Bethlehem (right down the road from the Portal, actually) and the pickings are a bit slim.

HobbyTown, as was mentioned, is probably the biggest, but quite expensive. The Portal is more Magic and some minis. They changed hands a few years ago and the new owner is really trying to make it a vibrant tournament scene. Not much in the way of boardgames, though.

I pretty much turned to online purchasing.

You might try Phantom of the Attic on Third st. in Easton, Dreamscape comics in Bethlehem and The Encounter in Allentown, but as said before pickings tend to be slim in any store in this area. Good luck.

There is Dark Tower Games on Route 10 in Denville, NJ. Probably about 40 minutes from Pburg. Has a good selection, good people, and gaming nights on the weekends.

Best wishes,

Jon

I've been to Little Shop. They've got a good game selection, friendly owners, and enough space for a sizable gaming crowd. I highly recommend them.

Another one I highly recommend is Maplewood Hobby near the intersection of the Parkway and Route 78. Another great selection of board games, and they have frequent board game nights most Thursdays and Sundays. They have somewhat more table space than Little Shop.
