Trade List: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/52772
Request list: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/52775
Discussion: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/4731685

After serveral specialized Math Trades and unusual rules, I think it's time to get Back to Basics. There are only a few simple rules so please take a few minutes to read them:

d10-1 LISTINGS MUST BE VALUED AT MORE THAN $20 TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS MATH TRADE (see below).

For the purposes of this math trade I'm going to say that $20 = 200GG.

Bundling will be allowed, however every bundle must have at least one item worth $20. This was a tough call to make because I know that there are a lot of $15 games that could be bundled togther, but purpose of this is to run an unrestricted Math Trade that that doesn't conflict with the Small Games MT.

d10-2 Use of the On-Line Want List Generator (OLWLG) is required for this event (please remember to tip JeffyJeff some GG for his support).

d10-3 Gift certificates, Geekgold, DVDs etc are all permitted.

d10-4 Gift certificate and GG arbitrage are will be allowed, however, cash offerings are not permitted.

d10-5 Non-game entries must be added as "Outside the Scope of BGG" (game id 23953), "Miscellaneous Game Accessory" (game id 5985) or "Miscellaneous Game Merchandise" (game id 22104) and must include the +altname+ brief description -altname- format in the description of your item.

d10-6 You are expected to describe, as accurately as is reasonably possible, the condition (components and box), language and edition of your item in the description. This includes sweeteners if they are physical items (i.e. not GG). Do not simply say 'as pictured'" when it comes to describing the language/edition.

d10-7 Your shipping restrictions must be clearly stated and if you are not covering full shipping, you must state precisely how much of the shipping you will cover. "Mirror shipping" is not allowed. Any ambiguity will be interpreted as generosity on your part. This means that if you don't include a shipping policy, then it is assumed that you will ship anywhere in the world for free!

If you are not covering full shipping within your own country, please state clearly where you are shipping from as this will help anyone who is trying to figure out their shipping cost for your item.

d10-8 Please do NOT include links to other games in your entry unless you are actually including them as a sweetener, as this is displayed in a misleading manner by the OLWLG.

Software Used: TradeMaximizer 1.4 with duplicate protection. SEED=1234567, ITERATIONS=100, METRIC=USERS-TRADING

List Cap: None

Maximum Submissions Per User: Unlimited

Geekgold restrictions:

Users may not post more geekgold than they currently have.

Key dates (all times CENTRAL TIME)

Open for posting games: Now until Wed., March 10th (10pm)

Want list submission period: Wed., March 10th (10pm) until Fri, March 12th (10pm) - no extensions!

Results posted about an hour thereafter.

Please note that it's best to work on your want list and submit them early - you can always make changes and resubmit later. This will prevent you from being left out if you forget the deadline.

Also: Creating want lists is not the same as submitting them. To submit them you will need to click on the "Submit My Wants" button. If you're not sure how to find this, consult the documentation referenced above or ask in the discussion thread.

When you submit your want lists, you will receive a confirming GeekMail. If you don't get one, your want lists haven't been submitted. Your want lists in the GeekMail may be truncated - this is fine.

Want list submission

Note: only errors by the moderator will invalidate the results.

Also in the case that there is a problem after the results are posted, at most it will only invalidate the affected trade chain(s) and not the entire results set. In addition if the problem can be resolved by the most directly affected party or parties, then that is perfectly acceptable.

You might want to push the item submission date to close late on the 11th or early on the 12th so that it overlaps the Small Things MT a bit better.

Very cool!

Do the individual games need to be worth more than $20 or will you take bundles worth more than $20?

How much GG is over $20 worth? If you look at the auctions, it's around 300 GG for $20.

Well, the rules say "games" must be worth over $20. GG doesn't count as a game, IMO.

What is the basis for the valuation? As an example, Dragon Parade has a list price of $24.99, but the BGG marketplace value is below $20. How do we determine the value of the game in that instance?

I would think the MSRP valuation would at least be good in this instance, as that would be price my FLGS charges for it. But for trading purpose, keep in mind that other geeks would value it lower due to the online or marketplace pricing.

Just got back from lunch so I'll address a few questions:

1. All Individual listings (not just games) must be valued at more than $20. For the purposes of this math trade I'm going to say that $20 = 200GG. I'll be updating the rules to reflect this clarification.

2. I've decided that bundling will be allowed, however every bundle must at least one item worth $20. This was a tough call to make because I know that there are a lot of $15 games that could be bundled togther, but purpose of this is to run an unrestricted Math Trade that that doesn't conflict with the Small Games MT.

I realize that value of items can be subjective, and certainly vary from store to store so rather than policing this, I ask that you use your best judgement. I'll still keep an eye out for any obvious rulerbreakers.

I'll probably be opening this MT a little early - possibly as early as tonight.

Okay, so I have an opinion question:

I have a ton of these DC and Marvel lead Eaglemoss miniatures that have been boxed up since we moved. I'd love to get them to a good home, but I really don't want to have to put them on eBay (pain in the butt).

Basically, would anyone be interested in these (I can put them in faction--ie, X-Men, Fan4--lots)? I figured they're plenty geeky, and the demographic here would probably be a good demo for these figs.

Opinions would be great.

FWIW: I have a ton of the Marvel ones, including a bunch of OOP ones (Colossus, Hulk) and nearly all the X-Men.

Go for it. I'm guessing that someone who owns Marvel Heroes might find them useful. They do look pretty nifty.

I'm somewhat amused at the number of games (at least three different games that I've counted so far) which have shown up on both the $20 or less and the over $20 event.

That's the problem with value-based events. It all depends on the source the person placing the entry chooses to set the value.

Agreed. That's why I didn't want to police this MT too much - and fortunately, I really haven't had to. Generally speaking, so far, I think everyone has done a pretty good job of respecting the rules.
