I've got a quicker solution.

This also helps with identification if you are a bit visualy challenged, like me.

Get hold of some small 'tiddley winks' style of plastic disks in seven colours (I already had some on hand). Carefully use a scalpel to remove the bases from the existing figures. Superglue 'em togther.

Not as good as painting all 56 figures, but a darned sight easier, and they are much less prone to being knocked over during the game.

Wow, great idea! I was thinking of painting the bases on mine but this would be even better. Very nicely done.

That's awesome!

As for being wounded, I imagine they lay down as they would with the smaller bases.

I actualy use the counters from Frag Deadlands and place them underneath the figures...looks good too!
