Since playing the game years back I've been thinking a long time about introducing a dangerous driving penalty to make players think before adopting Schumacheresque tactics. Its happened more than once when your car with its last point of bodywork is shunted by another behind that can afford to lose a point owing to more than 1 point remaining. In this game this translates to a situation where 1 car is eliminated by another after it ends its movement behind and adjacent to the other car and through the black die role receives a point of bodywork damage. Trying to keep it simple and in order to keep with the inconsistencies of FIA decisions I am trialling the following rule
When a car is eliminated by another role a black die for both cars. On a 1-3 the trailing car that eliminated the lead one is handed a grid penalty (depending on size of field) at the next race.
The car eliminated also rolls a black die and on a role of 1 it also receives a lesser grid penalty for the next race.
Think of the days of Schumacher cheating against Hill and Villenueve or the Prost/Senna races of skullduggery and you'll get the gist of where Im coming from.
Im running historical solo games at the moment and plan to inttroduce this rule when I get to the 1990's

It sounds interesting.
If all in your group plays like this, it would make 'schumacher' car the target of the next schumachers in line, would it not?
You should be aware at the same time that the new rule decreases the need for body points, since you would expect others to avoid you more when you are driving on your last point.
In our league we have a few who drive very aggresively in this respect. They usually end up losing all their body points themselves, though. As we do not retire with the last ciritcal point gone, but only spin, this also reduces the need for body points (and all the other criticals).
This removes some of the frustration due to collisions.
Our aggresice drivers are termed cowdrivers, as they usually drive one of the cow-themed cars. Races with both of them are hilarious, as they will normally battle it out with eachother for the right to call themselves herd leader
Let us hear how it plays out with the new rule.
