You watch the fly-bots zoom away immediately after you disembark. A few Troubleshooters in red uniforms look up in panic and run after the fly-bots for a ways, waving their arms and calling out for the ships to come back.

One of the Troubleshooters in orange chuckles to himself. “You can always tell the newbies. They’re the ones chasing after the damn fly-bots like The Computer is gonna send ‘em back if they try hard enough.” Several Troubleshooters laugh at the comment while a few others scowl in distaste.

“The Computer will send them back as soon as we’ve finished our mission out here and eliminated the traitors!” one of them snaps. The orange suited Troubleshooter holds up his hands in an “I don’t care” pose before turning to survey the RAD Sector. The rest of the group follows suit, looking across the dimly lit wasteland. A few pieces of metal stick out of the ground, but that’s about all you can see. There’s no sign of any traitors lurking about, no secret entrances with anti-Computer propaganda covering them. In fact, it looks like no one has been here in a long time.

Maybe that orange-suited Troubleshooter was onto something. Maybe he knows something about the mission. You glance over at him and see him whispering to a few of the Troubleshooters near him. Each of them are fingering their lasers, surreptitiously eyeing the crowd. When he notices you watching him, the veteran makes his way over to you, covertly looking around for signs of any traitors. He says in a slightly too loud voice, “Anything over here?” before whispering in your ear:

“Look. You and I both know what’s going on. There’s nothing out here except radiation poisoning. We’re all gonna die if we don’t get the fly-bots to come back. But they ain’t coming back until we complete the “mission” and kill the traitors. We’re gonna need 2 things to fool the Computer into thinking we did what it asked.

“First, we need bodies. Need to show that we killed the traitors, and a corpse can’t say it was innocent. I think some of these Troubleshooters would make fine “traitors,” don’t you? Second, we’re gonna need a story. Everyone who goes back has to tell exactly the same story or we’re all dead anyway. Think about it, but don’t take too long.”

And with that, he walks over to some other Troubleshooters, presumably to have the same speech. You think about his words. He’s right. The only way out of here is to turn your friends into traitors. But there have to be some true friends here, some clones with similar goals as yourself...

The Cassandra Automatic Vote Tally System

Your Moderator has enabled the Cassandra Automatic Vote Tally system
for this game. In order for it to function correctly, your votes will
need to be formatted correctly. The following rules will explain what
you will need to do:

Players
1. All votes must be bolded

2. The entire vote statement must be bolded and enclosed in bracekts: [vote jmilum]

3. Only one vote per post.

4. If you [vote nightfall] your vote will be locked (voting
nightfall is allowed in the same post as a vote for a player, but it
must come after it, this does not violate Rule #3)

5. Vote tallies will be automatically posted to the game thread hourly
if the tally has changed. The Tally and Vote Logs (for each game day)
are also available on the Cassandra game page.

6. If your vote is not counted be sure to check the Vote Log page and
see if it was marked invalid and why.

7. Case does not matter and simple typos will not cause the vote to fail.

8. You may [vote no lynch] if your game allows it.

9. Non voting players will be listed in the tallies. This will only be
correct if the Moderator notes which players have been killed (see below)

10. Editing a vote post will invalidate the vote and it will not be counted.


Moderators
1. The moderator will need to post [Dawn] when the day begins
(after the night results are posted) and [Dusk] when the lynch
deadline has passed and the day is over. Votes will not be counted
after [Dusk] has been posted. They will be registered again
after [Dawn] is next posted.

2. You may include a day number in the dawn and dusk post for
informational purposes, but it will not be used by the system.
Cassandra will increment an internal counter each time it sees
[Dawn] no matter what day is shown in a dawn post (i.e.
[Dawn 3] the three is allowed but ignored)

3. After dusk has been posted, the Moderator may go to the game page
on Cassandra to request a Final Tally to be posted before the normal
scan period has elapsed (i.e. Game Y gets scanned at 45 min. after the
hour, if it lynches at 7pm the moderator may request a tally to be
posted from the game page before 7:45pm. it will also be posted
regardless of whether or not it has been changed since the last
posting) - Do this by clicking on the 'Retrieve Final Lynch Time Vote' link.

4. You will need to note which players were killed via the lynch or at night by
either posting [killed jmilum] in the thread, or by going to the game
page and editing the player list. When posting in the thread, be sure to post
[dusk] before posting the lynch kill, and post [dawn] before
posting the night kill.
Example:
A. lynch time has passed so post [dusk]
B. goto the game page and select a final tally to be posted
C. check the final tally and post [killed melsana]
D. after the night deadline has passed post [dawn]
E. post the night kill with [killed kima]

Your Moderator has chosen to use the Longest Held Last Vote method for a tiebreaker - This is just for Cassandra system, and there may be a different tiebreaker specified by your Moderator in the ruleset.

As you begin milling around, whispering to your comrades, an alarm begins to go off in the vicinity of your wrist. Checking the readout from one of the various devices attached, you realize that the levels of radiation in this portion of the RAD Sector are extremely dangerous! Fortunately, your Reflec armor generates a barrier which will provide you some protection against the radiation. But this barrier is generated by a very small battery which can only be recharged through motion. You'd better keep moving to avoid being cooked alive.

ATTENTION

Any Troubleshooter who does not submit orders for 2 Rounds in a row will be wounded. 3 consecutive Rounds of inactivity means death. This will, of course, be public and everyone will point and laugh at you.

Rubric-R-KEN-5 checking in.

Please note the 5 at the end of my citizen identification code. That means that anyone caught shooting at me could be responsible for eradicating my entire clone line, thus causing permanent damage to my ability to serve the computer. Such attempts will be met with fierce resistance!

Oh, and as usual, there is no such thing as an "anti-orange coalition". There would be no point in contacting me for details about this. Please note that an anti-orange strategy has never worked in the past 4 iterations, so obviously it's not going to work this time either. In fact, it would be downright foolish to even discuss it.

Welcome to RAD sector! I see many clones that I recognize, and a few new faces as well. I eagerly look forward to talking with you all. However, I am currently meditating on how to best serve the Computer and Alpha Complex, and will need to finish my meditations before I would have anything to offer in a conversation.

OoC: That whole thing was an OoC.

IC: Of course not, I'd never even think of betraying the computer! You should know this already, commie mutant traitors do not get ORANGE clearance. I was merely referring to the few I trusted as also-loyal servants to the Computer.

Do we have a happyness-officer? I think a round of happy-pills for everyone would be in place. Noone posts happy posts in the thread. It just seems like everyone is plotting in secrecy. We should try and suceed in the mission the computer gave us, so lets get going!

A true officer of Friend Computer cannot be truly happy until all threats against Friend Computer have been eliminated, Citizen.

Eliminating threats against Friend Computer is a task with no end, Citizen. I, for one, am perfectly happy to terminate whatever traitors I can find in this sector. Starting with you, perhaps?
