Are video games allowed as a game item or should I offer tem as 'outside the scope' items?

I have a set of about 10 video games I would like to offer as a bundle.

(Great you're organising this again btw!)

I've edited the parameters of the trade to allow items from VideoGameGeek as an experiment.

If we end up with a flood of videogames it may be a short-lived one!

I will limit it to one item (a bundle of games).

Maybe do what other geeklists do - limit the number of videogame entries by only allowing 1 per boardgame entry that someone makes? Or 1 per two boardgame entries, or whatever limit you want to set.

I'll leave it as it is for now (as I'd hate to have to police this rule!!!) but this is a good fallback position if we get a tsunami of video games.

i would prefer for this trade to stay as board game related, i hope it doesn't turn out like the american ones, it loads of garbage in the middle (like FIFA 2005).

Not yet, but I'm sure Jeff will add it as soon as he can. And don't forget to tip him if you've any spare GG lying around.

With regards to the "Want List Generator: Steps 4 & 5"

I have a list of items. How do I put priorities on them, is it in the empty box to the right of the traders username?

Does a low number mean a first choice over a higher number?
I put in a series of numbers, the lowest went to the bottom of the list, is that the last choice now?, the higher value now being first choice?

It is very confusing

The lowest number is on bottom, because it's not supposed to be ranking, but monetary value. As far as I know, the trade maximizer doesn't use this information. It's just for your personal orientation when putting together your list.

So you cant preference "Game A" over "Game B" anymore?

Trade Maximizer does not use the value entered in the OLWLG, it does however use the order of your want list items for priorities according to the priorities settings.
Only the ";" as an indicator of a large priority gap can not be added to the lists in the OLWLG as far as I know.

Re "Add" Step 3
... displayed at the bottom of the corresponding 2nd column. The sub-table lists the name of the main game of each of your own items in this math trade, and a checkbox before each one. Select (or un-select if clearing previously selected) which of your offerings you are willing to trade away for the given item.

Does this mean if I tick any of my items listed that they would all be traded away for the 1 item, or any 1 of those ticked?

Thanks,
Richard

I'm sorry - I'm sooooooo confused by the system. I've added an entry to the European Maths Trade September 2010 geek list just like I'd add any item:

a) Do I need to also add it in 'Math Trade Want List Generator'?

b) If not, is there a time lag between me adding it to the geeklist and the want list generator recognizing it as I can't find a way of linking my offer to a game I'd like.

That's all for now, I'm sure I'll get all in a mess once I'm offering/wanting more than one game.

Thanks for your patience :O)

Yes, there is a time lag because the math trade organizer needs to manually update the OLWLG from time to time. There is no automatic update. So your item will show up in the OLWLG after Christopher does the next synchronisation.
