Once again i'm turning toward the community to help me find a good game store where I could play Warhammer Fantasy in Montreal.

I come from Sherbrooke and i'm having a hard time replacing Le Griffon (probably one of the best game store ever). Le valet de coeur is great from board game and while I have heard that they try to make the place more warhammer friendly on saturday, I have been there twice whitout a single other warhammer player there.

I remeber when I moved in that the Dungeon seemed to have quite a few player, but the terrible costumer service I received there a few times complettly made me forget anything about going there.

I never played Warhammer but I know they play where I hang out. They have like 2 or 3 terrains always setup there... on weekends alot of players that play Magic...

its in Laval... Maybe a 10 min walk from Momorency metro station. Its called Cosmos. Might find something there!

Here is the website http://www.magnistudios.com/bdcosmos/

They are on St-Martin here

Has anyone seen a boardgame played there?
Whenever I go, despite having the wickedest boardgame and wargame collection in town, all I see are 2 player battles with either cards or minis. too bad.

For your search,
I could list potential places such as
http://www.gamersvault.ca on Queen Mary Street or
http://www.grimoiredujeu.com/evenements/

or that new place in DDO:
http://www.auxjeux.ca/

or this one in Lasalle?
http://www.laforgedesjeux.com/

but maybe just ask here:

have fun and good luck,

Concerning le Valet de Coeur, it seems that they don't have any designated game night for boardgames. On the other hand, I have played there a few time with one of my friends and they did'n say anything. Even used one of the demo copy of Dominion to show it.

So it could definetly be in the realm of possibility. The store clerk asked me a few question about a game I brought with me that he had never played.

There is a new store which just opened a few days ago called Chez Geeks.
It is right downtown at the Berri UQUAM metro station. Just a two minute walk up the street to 1663 St.Denis. The ambiance is friendly and warm as is the service. I hear they are planning game nights, including Warhammer and they are open to customer suggestions. I strongly recommend you visit them.

There's also a Games Workshop in the Eaton Centre and the staff is very friendly.

Le Donjon closed earlier this year, good riddance...
