I used to live in Pleasanton. I moved to Minnesota last year.

D&J Hobbies, in Campbell, is probably the closest place to you. They have a pretty good selection of euro-games.

Also, I would check out Scenario Games in Fremont.

Happy gaming!

Legends of Sports and Fantasy, at the Vallco Mall (South/Sears end)
Wide selection of comics, collectibles, rpg materials, euro games, ccg and some GW stuff. I think they have a branch at Oakridge too.

Also very new is Paradox Playground (2050 S. Bascom, next to the Denny's near the Pruneyard). Just opened with a narrow selection now of miniatures, paints and euros.

Gamescape in Palo Alto & San Francisco usually have a good selection.

At the San Antonio Shopping center (El Camino Real & San Antonio Rd. in Mountain View), the Hobby Shop has an excellent wargame selection and Neutral Ground/Match Play (home of SIlicon Valley boardgamers) has some German games and RPG's & CCG's.

Gator Games in Belmont/San Mateo is another very good store. Also they usually have 20% sale during the major cons, like Kublacon.

You might also try Game Kastle in Santa Clara. They have a much better selection of euros than D&J. If you are into Warhammer, D&J is the place to go.

San Jose:
Legends in Oakridge Mall

Campbell:
D & J Hobby

Cupertino:
Legends in Valco Mall

Palo Alto:
Gamescape
Neutral Ground/Match Play at the San Antonio Shopping center.

Fremont:
Scenario Games

San Mateo:
Gator Games

Santa Clara:
Game Kastle

San Francisco:

And one I haven't been to:

Campbell:
Paradox Playground.

Legends in Oakridge has a great selection - the rest usually do too, but since I moved out of the area, I havent been to them recently.

Good Luck!

I live in Walnut Creek and there is a new shop on North Main called Black Knight Games. The owner is a super nice guy and he's got a nice, small selection.
Games Unlimited is in the Willow Pass shopping center. They also have a small selection but I don't find them very friendly.
Just to set the record straight, we don't have any brick and mortar stores in the Bay Area...too many earthquakes!!!

Can't forget Games of Berkeley (2151 Shattuck Ave). Decent selection of a wide variety of styles. Easiest to get there on BART (right next to the Downtown Berkeley station) 'cause parking kinda sucks.

I saw this thread is one being linked to by the FLGS of the USA summary, so I thought it deserved some updating.

"Black Knight Games" is actually Black Diamond Games and has moved to a larger location in Concord, just a short drive up the highway from its old location in Walnut Creek. They always have a good selection of board games as well as hosting a board games night every Tuesday.
