I have some subscriptions where I have not read the items until I have access to a color printer. Is it possible that items subscribed to disappear after a certain period of time?

If so, could the time period be extended?

Bug or feature?

Thanks. - Jonathan

Yeah - due to the overhead of maintaining millions of data points, we restrict it to 30 days.

Note that you can opt for GM or email notification of subscription events. If you're going to be gone for 30 days, I think email is the best option. With email you have complete control over how you read the items and how you decide you're done with them. Some email readers have extremely capable filtering and auto-deletion capabilities.

Fair enough, and I might be the only one who cares.

Any chance of a feature that would e-mail unread items to you after 30 days/when they are about to disappear?

I delete 98% within 30 days, but those I have saved up to print are now gone.

You're not. :)

I'd pay extra for the ability to have subscriptions last significantly longer than 30 days. E/geek-mailing them to me automatically as they expire would be a distant second.

My lucky number is four billion. That doesn't come in real handy when you're gambling. "Come on, four billion! Darn! Seven. Not even close. I need more dice." Mitch Hedberg

I second that. I was away from the geek for 2+ months and I have missed a loooot of interesting stuff.

How do you do that?
