Alright, then.

Pass on interrupts.

I'm going to wait until interrupts have been resolved, before I confer with Dr. Baltar.

Alright, I'd say they can play about 10-12 points into this, if they go all in once more. At this point, I'm not that concerned about ending up in the brig,...

Cylon Hatred makes this a value-4 skill check. No other interrupts.

Got interrupted there. I'd say they can play about 10-12 points into this, if they go all in once more. At this point, I'm not that concerned about ending up in the brig;

Here's why:

Roughly speaking I'll have two options on my turn. If I end up in the brig, I can sit on the presidency, and draw some more cards for spiking. It's quite likely I won't get another turn, so revealing to get a possibly helpful Super Crisis might not be worth it. However, being in the brig means there won't be a jump icon on my turn.

If I don't end up brigged, I'd be pretty much forced to reveal to prevent a jump icon, discarding some of my hand, and giving them back the Presidency for free. I don't count on my reveal power to have much impact.

I could still opt to reveal from the brig, if Boomer's crisis makes it likely I could get another turn. However, for that to happen, we'd need some combination of no-jump crises, pop loss or a jump track decrease.

What does this mean for the current skill check? As you may have some better insight into our chances, I'd like to hear your opinion on my card. Quite obviously, it's a Consolidate Power. If you think I should reveal on my turn, brig or no, for the chance to get another Super Crisis, I'd play it into the check for a little extra punch. However, I think it's more worthwhile to hedge my bets and hold on to it. I do think you should play as high as you can into it, however. Trading one of our cards for up to five of theirs is worth it any day, if they're that afraid I might throw the FTL switch on my turn.

I'll wait with my final decision on your feedback. As I said, I think it's better I kept my card.

If your card is high, destiny might see us through even if they go all in. And if Boomer doesn't get a jump icon, we could afford to hold onto the Presidency even if I get a crisis.

I´m going to spike with a high card. Let´s see how this plays out.. We can discuss reveal/not reveal on your turn.. decision might be easier when you see your card draw AND know that you are inside/outside of the brig.

Though I´d favour to see your reveal action on your turn to avoid the jump symbol.

Sounds good?

...But Chief is still President, and gets to decide what to do with this Food Shortage. (Yes, another one!)

I've sent Boomer her Recon in the meantime.

Well, that's some vindication, at least. Neither picking the discards on the last Food Shortage, nor playing my card into this check would have made a difference.

Of course, Boomer might not have chosen AQ, without Zarek's two cards...

As for the current crisis:

Just because I'm in the brig doesn't mean we can't throw a party! Food for everyone! Food Fight!

-2 food.

Food is down to 1.

Activation: No effect.

Jump Track: Advances to Blue-3.

We now wait for Boomer's decision on her Recon.

Ah, frak it. There is no way that Boomer will keep the coming crisis on top. She buries it. Let's advance the turn.

As you all can see, an explosive situation demands your attention. Resources are way down, especially population and food. But the Jump Track is at Blue-3. But FTL Control is still damaged...

Alright Baltar, where do we stand?

My options are:

Consolidate Power - I'd draw Tactics and Piloting, so I can spike in the full spectrum. Since we got a jump on Boomer's crisis, it's unlikely I'd get another turn, and this gives me the best card strength, even if I can only play one into each check. Should I indeed get another turn, I would hold on to a Launch Scout, if I draw one.

Activate Brig - I've got some good cards, so this might just work. They can play 3 against. Still depends on destiny somewhat. Even if it fails, we're certain to drain cards again. If I do get out, we get a crisis on my turn. There are not many left that aren't bad for them one way or another, and a number of the less bad ones could still be beneficial to us if I'm the current player, and get to make a choice.

Reveal - I don't like having to discard half my hand, and giving the Presidency away, now that we're one more Food/Water Shortage away from victory. There's the possibility Boomer already buried the remaining ones, but there are still other food crises out there. Unless you think there's some way they can't jump before my next turn?

Take your time in deciding. I am going to bed now, and it will probably be another 20 hours or so before I can get back online again. If I am lucky I'll have Internet during the day tomorrow, but if not, it will be tomorrow night.

Let´s see..

If you are out of the brig, there is a chance of you drawing a jump symbol. That would make it unlikely for me to have another turn - giving away our biggest asset, which is caprica.

(My supercisis will not turn the tide here, so i leave this one out of the discussion for now)

Yeah, I´m leaning towards you staying where you are. Question is.. what would be your action then (besides CP). Any Scout available?

I don't draw Tactics. Consolidate Power will be my best action. We're no longer XO'ing each other, so that'll be it, for my turn. I might draw a Scout, to use on my next turn, should I still get one.

A breakout isn't worth it. It's unlikely to work, and even if it did, I'd barely have any cards left to spike with afterwards.

Move: None.
Action: Play 1 - Consolidate Power to draw 1 Tactics and 1 Piloting.
