OK, then...

Besides gift certificates, which are always welcome, I'm looking for:

Good kids' games, for when my daughter gets a little older: Animal upon Animal and Gulo Gulo are two that stand out as good options.

A few expansions I'm interested in:
- Innovation: Echoes of the Past
- Dominion: Prosperity
- Small World: Be Not Afraid
- Race for the Galaxy: The Brink of War

And a handful of games:
- Homesteaders (2nd Ed. preferred)
- Pantheon
- Fresco
- The Downfall of Pompeii

I'd suggest choosing a specific time for the trade itself.

Games can be dropped off earlier, for organization/labeling. But everyone should be there are the same time.

That way people don't have to show up for the whole two hour window, and can scheduling other things around it if needed.

Thanks for setting this up Sara. Definitely better for me than the Canadian one with shipping.

This would be my first math trade and I'm trying to figure it out (almost too much information on it).

I'm not seeing it listed on the http://bgg.activityclub.org site. Should it be there so I can click the submit wants link on that page?

It's not there yet. Sara needs to (presumably has) sent a message to Jeff, who runs the OLWLG, then he has to add it. It usually doesn't take too long.

3pm is the time that I expect people to come to drop off games. People can hang out and play some small footprint games, leave as soon as all of their games have arrived or head out and come back later, but I think that could take up to an hour to keep everything organized and once we account for traffic and transit delays, so I'm putting down 2 hours to be safe.

I'll also be adding my stuff after the Canada one closes - although I'll be extra-picky with my want lists there, because of the shipping charges.

Sorry about the conflict with the Canada trade. I picked these dates to be around the mid-point between the 2 TabsCons. I don't bother with shipping for trading or purchasing so didn't even think about checking the dates of that one.

Wishing you very little success in the Canada trade so you have lots of items to list here once it's finished. Just kidding. ;-P

It's not really much of a problem - not like there's an overlap in submission periods, etc!

Can I offer games for cash if they don't trade? Alternatively, can I offer games for cash *before* putting them in the trade? I want to trim my collection a bit without adding even more games to my shelf. I'm seriously out of space!

Kijiji is a great place to sell, I've bought and sold many board games on there.

Kevin - you can't use the trade to sell games. Listing the games you want to sell on the tabs forums, posting an ad on kijiji or running an auction through BGG are your best bets to sell games.

If you sell a game that is listed in the trade, just be sure not to delete it because it messes up the numbering. You should comment on the item or change the description to say that it's been sold and submit a blank want list.

Agreed, and it gives me an excuse to check out the cafe which I have been meaning to do, like, forever. Will submit a couple games asap.

Out of curiosity, is the trade being advertised at the cafe itself at all, with a sign or something?
