There was a recent thread "http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/797429/ogre-single-player-rules". It had a link to a pdf for Space Gamer #14 for sale.

I bookmarked the post but not the sale page. Now the entire thread has been deleted.

I tried searching Steve Jackson Games and e23. Neither has Space Gamers from before #28.

I tried searching for the post on the WayBackMachine but it has not been archived. BTW what other archiving services exist?

Please, help.

Thank you.

Actually, SJG has reprinted that article from Space Gamer #14 here:

There are solo rules (which I use slightly modified) in "The Ogre Book"

So, what we have so far is :

"The Uncertainty Principle" by Brian McCue HERE
"Humans against the Ogre - programmed to kill!" by George Collins in The Space Gamer #35.
"Solo rules" by Brian Sturk in "The Ogre Book".

Has anyone seen them all? Are they a modification of each other or a different set of rules? A comment on gameplay would be great.

Thank you.

2nd ed Ogre book has "solitaire ogre" by George Collins, but it doesn't seem to be in the 1st edition.
The same "solitaire ogre" article by George Collins appears in The Space Gamer #35.
"The Uncertainty Principle" by Brian McCue appears in both 1st and second edition of the ogre book.
The name Brian Sturk does not seem appear in the credits of either edition of the ogre book

I hope this helps

This public GDoc contains an expanded versions of the rules from the Ogre Book (which are by George Collins, not Brian Sturk, if the credits in The Ogre Book are to be believed):

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1R9dMQLgKRfzizH1okkai7ubYGX...

There are no "official" solo rules, only articles which SJG has published on behalf of fans who've written solo variants.
