I'm going to be in the area for business, and was wondering if there were any game stores near by.

I play historical boardgames, so that's what I'm looking for in the store.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

For historical boardgames, I don't think so. Gamemaster and Comic Quest are nearby, but they specialize, respectively, in traditional games with a few Euros; and Euros, miniatures, and card games (CCGs, etc.)

Brookhurst Hobbies has a few. Check online before visiting, I'd suggest.

Comic Quest in Lake Forest (which is next to Mission Viejo) is your best bet. They have a great selection of Euros and AT games, but if I recall correctly, they do have some shelf space dedicated to historical wargames.

Game Master (in the Laguna Hills Mall) has some Euros/AT games, but not much, if any, in the way of historical wargames.

I'll second this. I stopped in for the first time tonight, and I found a wonderful selection of games, including many GMT games and other historical war games. The guy working there was very friendly and helpful. I live quite a way away, but I will be back for sure.

You might want to check out Brookhurst Hobbies, www.brookhursthobbies.com/ which I think is more war game oriented. Their Meetup group is at http://www.meetup.com/Brookhurst-Gamers/
