It's been a couple of years...like 5...but there was a nice store called Gamescape

According to the web it is still there:

333 Divisadero St.
San Francisco, CA 94117
(415) 621-4263

I believe they even had a used game section.

Best part is that it is in a fairly flat part of San Franisco.

Try Gamescape:

Gamescape
333 Divisadero St.
San Francisco, CA 94117
cross street: Oak
district: Haight (Lower)
phone: 415.621.4263

I've never been to the SF store, but I frequented their Palo Alto store before it closed.

Endgame is not exactly in San Francisco.

"Endgame is located at 921 Washington Street, at the corner of 10th and Washington in historic downtown Oakland."

Open 10am-7pm (gameroom open 'til 10pm) ... not sure if the hours are applicable today with tomorrow's holiday and all.

Games of Berkeley is a giant game store

Obviously its not in SF but if you take the BART its right across the street from the Downtown Berkeley station
2151 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley, 94704

Neither Endgame nor Games of Berkeley are in SF, but only a quick BART ("Bay Area Rapid Transit", i.e., train) trip away.

If you're interested in Gamescape, I'd call first. I could swear I remember a "going out of business" sign last time I drove past it, but I could be wrong. (If my memory were that good, I'd be much better at Mamma Mia! )

Hi - Gamescape is definitely open and doing good biz also, I was there just the other day. If you are stuck downtown, there is (don't laugh) a Jeffries toy store on Market, I think at Third St. They have been getting a lot of Euro games in, the biggest problem with them though is they are very expensive, sometimes charging more than retail.javascript:emoticon(document.MESSAGEFORM.body,'yuk')
