Hi all,
I'm going to be home from Oz this Christmas and wanted to buy my family some boardgames. I'd prefer not to subject them to the terrors of long haul flying, so is there a shop in Dublin that has a good selection of games.

I'm looking for Bohnanza, Citadels, Carcassonne, stuff like that.

Cheers,
Ian

Hello Ian,

I recommend Gamers World on Jervis Street. Very good selection, friendly staff and decent prices:

Enjoy your Christmas holiday with your family

Have definitely seen Citadels and Carcassone in there. It's the only shop with anything approaching a selection in Dublin anyway, be aware their website is pretty dire and lists nothing they actually have, just call in and browse.

Usually a pretty good selection, although if you have something specific in mind you might also want to order in advance, as around Christmas Eurogame stack can be pretty limited - I think last year they sold out of Carcassonne and its expansions, for example.

I came across this thread in a Google search, so I thought it might be useful for people to know about an alternative store.

There is a new online store that offers collections in Dublin and delivery nationwide called BoardGamer.ie:

http://www.boardgamer.ie

The range of games is always growing, and have games at better prices than Gamers World.

The Facebook page is:
