Can the prevent effect of Disruptor (A Study in Static) be applied after the corp has paid credits to boost the base trace strength?

submitted to FFG. Worded to allow a simple 'yes' or 'no' answer.

Very straightforward question and the crux of this all.

Let us know what you hear.

Ok, here come the pics. Sorry, the quality is probably even crappier than the last time. I was busy and in a hurry, so they're quick phone scans:

Between Hourglass and False Lead, I think this might be the Data Pack where Replicating Perfection becomes a legitimate deck.

Why would two marginal cards make something become playable.

Force of Nature is good because it gives the Anarachs an in faction code gate breaker that can have it's strength increased.

Having played with Body Weight Data Creche in the past, I know that Doppelganger is good but not as good as it seems.

All Nighter is amazing.
I've already been toying with a Wyldside driven Kate deck. This will go right in.

Green Level Clear is very solid. It will almost certainly make it into my HB decks.

Hourglass is great for Jinteki 2.

I like Urroborus and the new Weyland agenda is good to.

The worst card of the set is probably Tyrant. You really ought to be able to advance that before you rez it. Consider the comparison between it and Hadrian's Wall.

Against any ice breaker with a 1/1 strength and a 1/1 break (Battering Ram, Snowball, Corroder) Tyrant needs at least 5 advancement tokens on it to match up. (And remember you can advance Hadrian's Wall).

Against Morning Star, Tyrant is worthless.

The only time Tyrant is better is when you're playing against Femme Fatale or Aurora.

Thanks for posting this! ... although I'm really hoping there's a typo somewhere in here:

Because as it stands it's a ZU.13 with three downsides. Costs four more, no potential for MU reduction, and pays 1 more to break code gates with odd subroutines. Seems like a bit of a slap in the face to anarchs.

They got Yog. A slap in the face is the very LEAST they deserve.

Did everyone miss where Force of Nature has an influence cost of 1? Influencing options seem strong with this one.

They're part of a larger whole. It may not be quite there yet (I ain't denying either of these cards are mediocre on their own), but there's pieces here that could eventually lead to a dedicated Click Denial strategy. This is where it starts.

Each faction is best at one type of Ice Breaker,
Shapers are the kings of Code Gates
Criminals are the kings of Sentries
Anarchs are the kings of Barriers

So yes a code gate breaker in Anarch needs to be worse than a code gate breaker in shaper in some way, yes they have Yog.0 but you can't pump it.

*was looking at EvilPie's gallery while he was uploading the pics (plenty of F5s, heh)*

*notices the 2 older images that seem to come from advertisements & the Jinteki Upgrade*

Where are those from, if i may diverge a bit from the matter at hand?

I got in everyone's hostile little face. Yes, these are wooden cubes from boardgaming. Yes, I'm comfortable with that. I am enlightened.

Oh boy using False Lead's paid ability on a runner when they encounter a Janus would be nasty.

I think force of nature is basically a card that did not even need to be printed. Just terrible, and so so so much worse then yog.

I've updated my spreadsheet here with the new ICE and icebreakers. Deus X is going to require some more scripting, will look into that soon.

I've added all ICE subtypes though, so it should be easy to see which ICE it can break.

No kidding... what is the point of this card unless maybe later in the cycle there is a code gate ice that had a ridiculous amount of sub routines.

Yog would still be better.
