This has been a minor hit with my weekly gaming group. I also played with my wife and father-in-law, though I think it may take a while for them to get into the strategy. (I was struck by how much they cared about the theme, but that's another story...)

For some reason, folks here have a hard time with 'Ave Caesar!' when they complete a card. Instead I heard:

'Ave Maria!' - from the hardcore gamer
'Ave peanut butter sandwiches!' - from the comedian
'Bananas!'
'When do I get to move a marker from one card to another?' - from the slowest player.

I'm starting to think I should leave out the comparison to lotto/bingo when I introduce it. Also, have a reference sheet handy, as no one ever understands the icons for the card actions. Once you get past that people pick up the game pretty quickly.

I'm surprised nobody yelled "BINGO!". I suspect I'll say something like "Got one!".

We had a few 'Glory to Rome!'s before I started quoting I Claudius. I managed to get through 'Quinctilius Varus, where are my legions?', 'Don't touch the figs', 'Is there anyone in Rome who has not slept with my daughter' and 'I've cured his cough' before the game ended.

We usually say "Ave "name of person who is pulling the disks from the bag""

Agreed that this game is a good time!

I tried "Bingo, Bingas, Bingat, Bingamus, Bingatis, Bingant" but nobody learns Latin these days.

Within the realm of color, the shadows often assume responsibility for the awkward shine of yellow.

Our family says: ”Salade César!", which translated means Cesar Salad.

Our game group always yells 'Ave Bingo!'

Although I may have to switch to 'Bingo, bingas, bingat, bingamus, bingatus, bingant', that's brilliant!

We just yell "Caesar!". I realized early on that "Ave Caesar" was a mouthful. But I kind of like "Caesar Salad".

"I have a card" , "Bingo" , "I got a thing" , "Thing!" , "Card!". I can't force myself to say "Ave Ceasar" an neither can the people I play with.
