Rating guidelines:

My rating scale is skewed a few points lower in order to give more room at the higher end of the scale. Otherwise 90% of my games would be 7-9.
Games are rated for their target audience. A kids or party game rating describes how I feel about playing it with that group, not necessarily that I personally like it better than all other lower rated games.

Ratings with a .5 (and above) mean that they've actually gotten played more often, regardless of the rating. Other decimal values are just used to group games with many expansions.


10: Exceptional game. Not just a favorite of mine, but one of the best games to be used for it's target audience.

9: Favorite game. One of my all-time personal favorites.

8: Wonderful game. I love this game, and would almost always be happy to play it.

7: Great game. I really like this game. I don't feel like playing it all the time, but it usually works well when I do.

6: Very good game. I like it and feel like playing - but it still just doesn't seem to come out often. May have a problem that causes it not to work well with some groups.

5: Good game. I like it and would be happy to play it if someone asked, but I just never seem to feel like choosing it. May have some problems.

4. Fine game. It's ok, but I would never choose to play it over other games.

3: Mediocre game. Not bad, but also not good. No reason to play this.

2: Disliked game. I don't enjoy this game.

1: Hated game. Something about this game really bothers me.
