City Interactive, the international publisher and the largest Polish video game developer producing PC and console games, including Nintendo Dual Screen titles, was created in 2002 in a merge of a publishing house and two video game developers. The long-term strategy guaranteed a successful expansion into international markets. The City Interactive brand is present in the USA, Australia and the majority of European countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Russia. The company has also launched a broad-scope activity in South America.
The intensive development and true-and-tried formula have made continued development possible, with Warsaw-based City Interactive opening studios in Rzeszów and Katowice. The beginning of 2008 saw the opening of company branches in Germany, the United Kingdom and the USA, followed by Spain. Thanks to a broad spectrum of titles with excellent quality-to-price ratio, the company achieved a strong position on the international map of electronic entertainment. Present in 40 markets on five continents, City Interactive is seen as one of the fastest-developing companies in the business.
City Interactive is in active cooperation with the leading publishing houses and development companies in the video game business. Partners of City Interactive are, among others, companies such as Focus Entertainment, Mindscape, Akella, Noviy Disk, Atari, Ubisoft, DTP and CDV. In 2007 the company changed its legal status, transforming from a limited liability company into a joint stock company. In November 2007 the company debuted at the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Presently, City Interactive employs nearly 150 employees. The company received a "Solidna Firma" ("Trustworthy Company") Certificate thrice (in 2005, 2006 and 2007) in a Polish national verification programme for promotion of honest and trustworthy business.
