At the Races - by Rikki Tahta

AT THE RACES! is the latest large group game from MeetMax Games, designed for parties and events. Play together in teams: 45 minutes of huge fun, training, sabotaging and betting on horses over 6 different races with GREAT PRIZES for the winning teams !

Come and join us it will definitely be fun! You will need your phone (required), some cunning (helpful) and a loud voice (optional) to root for your horse !

MeetMax Games is running the game at BGGcon as a charity event for the Game Loft - an after-school kid's charity we support. The event is totally free, but if anyone wants to sponsor a horse in advance by making a small donation to the Game Loft, you can name and describe one of the 8 horses and have the fun of hearing people cheer you on ! PM Rikki at BGG or email: rikkitahta@gmail.com

Terrors of London is a competitive deck-builder with a Victorian horror theme. Each player will assume the role of an Overlord, each with a unique ability and two unique influence cards. Throughout the game players will add monsters from four different factions (Beasts, Mortals, Spirits, and Undead) to their deck, all of which can form hordes for powerful combos. Players will also procure marvelous relics, which they may immediately use for their unique abilities. The first player to reduce their opponent's life to zero wins the game and claims the night.

Matagot Play 2 Win: Paris New Eden

Game of interesting choices every turn. Paris: New Eden features a clever dice-drafting mechanism that allows you to recruit survivors. Over the span of one year, you will endeavor to build your shelter and overcome the array of obstacles that you encounter along the way. The dice allow you to recruit survivors of different types. At the end of each season, your survivors allow you to bid to improve your shelter. These survivors are recruited in five key areas of the Paris that we know, each one with different abilities.

Players score points by recruiting survivors and feeding them, by fulfilling objectives and by completing secret missions acquired. At winter’s end, the player who has accumulated the most victory points wins. The future of Paris is in your hands!
It is not mandatory to know the rules to join the Play 2 Win, but it is very helpful.

Spiel-a-Thon

The Spiel-a-thon is a fund raiser for The Spiel Foundation, a non profit organization that donates bundles of 5 quality board and card games to children's hospitals and senior centers. The money we raise at the event helps us bring more fun to kids and seniors across the country! (thespielfoundation.com)

10-12 game stations with teachers will be set up. Each game will be a goofy, fun, quick to learn game like Dr Eureka, Strike, Loopin' Louie or Tumblin' Dice.

To participate in the Spiel-a-thon, come get a punch card from the cashier table. No registration or sign up needed. Just come get a punch card once the event has started!

For each game you play, you'll get a stamp on your punch card. When you're done, come back to the cashier and you'll pay a small amount ($2-3) per stamp on your card.

You can play for five minutes and donate a few bucks but the longer you play the more chances you will have to win free games during our regular raffles during the event and if you score enough stamps, you'll compete in the final round for an amazing array of game prize baskets!

Come play and help us raise money for a great cause!

Tichu Tournament

Back by popular demand, the Tichu Tournament pits your partnership against several other partnerships in this climbing card game, to see who can rid themselves of cards first and gain the most points. And even more exciting, we'll be playing Duplicate Tichu! Popularized for many years at Bridge tournaments this format takes away the luck of good hands and instead you are compared against how well others played the same hand as you.

Virtual Flea Market

Here is the concept - While the |BoardGame Bazaar is great, for some of us who are traveling to the convention, carrying games to the convention that you may or may not be able to sell is a hassle at the very least. So, use the "Virtual Flea Market" instead. If you have items that you'd like to sell at BGG.Con, list them here with the condition of your items, and the price or terms you'd like to sell for. With any luck, the deals will be done ahead of the convention and you can just do the physical swap in Dallas.

Time: Thursday, 6:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. - SETUP for SELLERS
Time: Thursday, 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. - Any non-selling PURCHASERS may enter
